SeniorLAW Center

Shari J. Odenheimer, Esq.

Shari first became involved with SeniorLAW Center (then known as the Senior Citizen Judicare Project) as a young associate attorney at Fox Rothschild.  Shari began as a volunteer attorney handling primarily estate planning and probate cases.  In 1995, Abraham C. Reich, a partner at Fox Rothschild and then Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, appointed Shari to a seat on the Board of Directors of SeniorLAW.  Shari served on the Board of Directors from 1995 to 2007, serving as Chairman of the Board from 1998 to 2006.

Shari’s fundraising, networking and leadership skills have been instrumental to SeniorLAW Center’s success.  Shari led the board preceding, throughout, and following the transition of Judicare to SeniorLAW Center in 2002, when our organization changed its name, greatly expanded its programs and budget, received its first major bequest, and moved into its first independent and much enlarged office space in the Land Title Building.  Shari worked very closely with Executive Director Karen Buck to lead the organization through these exciting times of growth and expansion, and her partnership and leadership have been invaluable.

Shari currently serves as a Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and chairs the Policy, Strategy and Funding Committee.  Shari is an alumna of the National Young Leadership Cabinet of Jewish Federations of North America and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Relief Agency.  In 2009, Shari was awarded the Jack Goldenberg Young Leadership Award by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.

Shari was a partner at Blank Rome where she focused her practice on all aspects of trusts and estates, charitable organizations, Orphans’ Court and Chancery Court litigation and international and domestic estate planning.  Shari is a former member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Orphans’ Court Rules Committee.  Shari earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Michigan (she remains an avid Wolverine fan) and her law degree at the Boston University School of Law.  Shari is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Delaware Bar Association, the Brandeis Law Society and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.
