Absentee ballot deadline extended in Pennsylvania as state recovers from massive storm

Due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy forcing several county courthouses to close, Gov. Tom Corbett has extended the deadline to request an absentee ballot by two days, to Thursday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.

The deadline to return a voted absentee ballot HAS NOT been extended. These ballots are due Friday, Nov. 2.

SeniorLAW Center strongly encourages all senior voters are ill or disabled and qualify to vote absentee to apply and return their ballots.  For more information, call the Voter Hotline at 1-866-OUR VOTE.
