SeniorLAW Center’s Margarita Martinez Spoke at PCA’s 14th Annual Latino Senior Citizens Conference and Celebration

margaritapcalatino11SeniorLAW Center was proud to participate in PCA’s 14th Annual Latino Senior Citizens Conference and Celebration on November 14, 2015. The purpose of this free event was to offer limited English-speaking Latino Seniors and their caregivers information about the broad range of services available in the community. The entire event was presented in Spanish to over 250 attendees. SeniorLAW Center is committed to providing service to language and cultural minority elders in their own languages and neighborhoods. Our Hispanic Legal Services Coordinator, Margarita Martinez is pictured here, as she was one of the guest speakers. Margarita, a native of Columbia, has served as Coordinator of SeniorLAW Center’s services for Hispanic Elders since December, 2004 and now also coordinates all 8 of our community clinics. Margarita is responsible for the provision of direct legal services to Spanish-speaking clients, who often face crises of housing, family violence, abuse and financial exploitation.
