WHAT DO YOU DO AT SENIORLAW CENTER?
As part of the Victim Services team, I interview seniors and work with attorneys to assist those who are victims of elder abuse and financial exploitation. I also perform outreach to help victims self-identify or to prevent becoming a victim. I aim to help seniors be heard and feel empowered and to assist in helping them gain access to the legal system.
WHY DO YOU WORK AT SENIORLAW CENTER?
I have worked with older adults in the past and appreciate their history, wisdom, and spirit. To assist those who are victims of abuse or exploitation is a way to express appreciation for who they are. It’s an honor to work helping others.
HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR WORK AT SENIORLAW CENTER?
Knowing I’m making a difference even in a small way.
PERSONAL FACT
My grandmothers taught me to sew, to cook, and to love reading, knowledge, and people. My work here is a tribute to them.
