DESCRIPTION:SeniorLAW Center and Delaware Abuse Project of Delaware County (DAP) will host a symposium for older adults in honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) on Thursday\, June 12th.  Join us at the Delaware County Bar Association (335 W. Front Street\, Media\, PA 19063) from 10am – 12pm to learn about resources to address and prevent elder abuse in our community. Featuring free continental breakfast and snacks\, a resource fair\, and remarks from: Karen C. Buck\, Esq.\, SeniorLAW CenterPA Representative Lisa A. BorowskiDavid Shallcross\, Esq.\, PA Office of Attorney GeneralKalli Badolato\, Esq.\, Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County (DAP)Maya Palmer\, County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA)This event is free and open to the public. World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is observed globally each year on June 15th. The purpose of WEAAD is to provide an opportunity for communities around the world to promote a better understanding of abuse and neglect of older persons by raising awareness of the cultural\, social\, economic and demographic processes affecting elder abuse and neglect.
