DESCRIPTION:SeniorLAW Center is partnering with attorneys from Blank Rome LLP and PECO/Exelon in a virtual Life Planning Document Clinic on October 21st from 9-1pm. Attorneys will provide telephone counsel and draft vital life planning documents for our seniors\, including Simple Wills\, Financial Powers of Attorney\, Health Care Powers of Attorney\, and Living Wills. SUMMARY:SeniorLAW Center CLE Training: Assisting Seniors through the Pennsylvania SeniorLAW HelpLine: Volunteer Attorney Training
DESCRIPTION:Attorneys will be trained to provide legal advice\, information\, and referrals to vulnerable seniors across Pennsylvania who call the PA SeniorLAW HelpLine with civil legal issues. The training will focus on common areas of law requested by callers including Kinship care issues\, the logistics of handling a HelpLine call and the professional responsibility requirements of pro bono and helpline service. This is a limited representation opportunity and volunteers will be able to choose the area(s) of law on which they will focus when counseling senior callers.
