Dear Friends,
It is with great sadness that I am sharing the passing of William Fedullo, treasured friend, advocate, leader, former board chair, longtime board member and champion for SeniorLAW Center.
Bill was an ardent supporter of SeniorLAW Center in his role as board member and board chair, contributing immeasurably to the success of our work through his many contributions and generosity, as well as his extraordinary ability to speak and share beautifully about the plight of seniors in poverty. In speaking of his role as a board member, Bill once said, “I think part of our mission is to be constant cheerleaders for SLC,” a role which he took to heart in raising support from friends and acquaintances across the state of Pennsylvania and to tell the stories of homelessness, abuse and crisis. Bill was passionate about the struggles of those at both ends of the life cycle, kids and older people, and it was a privilege to work with him to support the children of the Philadelphia School District during his tenure as Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association and beyond, and to raise visibility of our work for grandparents raising grandchildren. He and Shelli both served as Bar Chancellor and also co-chaired our SeniorLAW Center gala. Together they have changed the lives of thousands of families in poverty.
We at SeniorLAW Center will miss Bill’s irreplaceable spirit and character, humor, and grace and his friendship is one I will treasure forever. I send my deepest condolences to his family, his beautiful wife Shelli, a great leader and friend, and his son Billy who follows in his parents’ footsteps as an attorney with a passion for justice.
Shelli and Billy have designated SeniorLAW Center as the charity of choice for donations in memoriam. To honor Bill’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations at both ends of the life cycle, all gifts made in his memory will be earmarked in support of SeniorLAW Center’s Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) Program.
If funding for the GRG program exceeds program needs, SeniorLAW Center will direct funds where they are needed by our service population most as determined by the Board of Directors.
We are heartbroken at the loss of our friend and partner.
