Kathy Cubit
Director, Advocacy & Policy
WHAT DO YOU DO AT SENIORLAW CENTER?
I help lead SeniorLAW Center’s policy and legislative advocacy, working with and supporting all teams with their systemic advocacy and policy priorities. I also represent SeniorLAW Center on various advisory committees and advocacy groups to help seek justice for older adults, improve federal and state policies, and highlight the services and impact of our organization. My expertise in long-term services and supports (LTSS) includes home and community-based services (HCBS) and nursing home care with a focus on the autonomy and dignity of older adults, issues facing people dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, equity, LTSS access, LTSS quality care and quality of life, and HCBS participants’ and nursing home residents’ rights.
WHY DO YOU WORK AT SENIORLAW CENTER?
After advocating with and on behalf of older adults for years at CARIE, SeniorLAW Center provides a new opportunity to work with a highly regarded organization known for its long history of seeking justice for older Pennsylvanians and to be part of a team advocating for the rights, autonomy, and dignity of older people.
