In April 1996 Nancy started a magnificent career change when she began working with Judicare, the Senior Citizen Judicare Project, as an office assistant through the Department of Labor’s senior employment program of JEVS, then the Jewish Employment and Vocational Service. Nancy was soon hired as a permanent staff member by then-Executive Director Mary A. Scherf.
Nancy excelled and took on expanded duties and roles, becoming the Administrative Assistant for the office. In 2002, Judicare changed its name to SeniorLAW Center under the leadership of Executive Director Karen C. Buck. Nancy enjoyed all of her time at SeniorLAW Center because of the people and the staff. Most of all, she enjoyed helping seniors. Because of her husband‘s and her own health issues, Nancy decided it was time to retire in July 2011. She is now an active volunteer in many charitable causes.
Nancy is married to Taris Cobb Jr., and is the proud mother of Patrick Robinson, recently retired from the U.S. Naval Service following 30 years of service, daughter-in-law Crystal Robinson, and grandmom of Patrick, Jr., Courtney, and Evan Robinson.
We are honored to formally express our tremendous gratitude to Nancy, with her induction as a member of the inaugural class of the SeniorLAW Center Hall of Fame.
