SeniorLAW Center

Margarita Martinez

Senior Legal Advocate

WHAT DO YOU DO AT SENIORLAW CENTER?

Provide legal assistance and information, client intake, coordinate and conduct community legal education workshops and staff SeniorLAW Center’s seven community-based legal clinics in Philadelphia, including program assessment, program development, and record keeping.

WHY DO YOU WORK AT SENIORLAW CENTER?

As a child I always felt a special affection and a lot of compassion for seniors. In the course of my career, I had the opportunity to work for the private sector, but I discovered that I have a greater inclination for serving vulnerable populations.

HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR WORK AT SENIORLAW CENTER?

My commitment to making SeniorLAW Center more responsive and more accessible to the Spanish-speaking senior community, who often face crises of housing, family violence, abuse and financial exploitation.
