3rd Annual Black / African American Caregiver Symposium

If your loved one is living with dementia, and if you care for or support them in any way, we encourage you to attend the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter’s 3rd Annual Black/African American Caregiver Symposium on June 17 at the St. John Newman Center in Philadelphia.

This no-cost event will provide support, resources and information to anyone caring for a loved one with dementia. Speaker sessions will cover topics such as the caregiver identity and their health; communicating effectively with family, friends and healthcare professionals; and legal planning. Heather Kelly, Esq. (Supervising Attorney, Access to Justice in Guardianship) will be presenting on guardianship alternatives and life-planning documents.
