The Philadelphia Courts have announced a holiday hiatus . No evictions will take place between December 17, 2016 – January 2, 2017.
Research shows that more than 90% of tenants in Philadelphia are unrepresented and go through the eviction process without an attorney. We are working to change that daunting statistic. SeniorLAW Center is proud to represent and serve low-income elderly tenants by providing municipal court representation in some public and private eviction cases, advice, and guidance on self-representation, responding to illegal lockouts, and utility shutoffs. The Landlord Tenant Legal Help Center, a collaborative project coordinated by SeniorLAW, provides legal advice and information in Municipal Court for tenants of all ages.
