L. Hollis Ruggieri

Elder Victim Legal Advocate for Delaware and Chester Counties
Hollis has a background intertwined with advocacy and law. While pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree from Temple University, Hollis jumpstarted his career by becoming an Editorial Assistant for the Pennsylvania Prison Society, giving voice to incarcerated men and women. After graduating from Temple and completing his advocacy with the PA Prison Society, he took on the role of a Youth Advisor with Covenant House Pennsylvania, where he worked with and advocated for homeless and at-risk youth in Philadelphia, at both a shelter and a transitional living program. After relocating to Chester County, he joined his family’s law practice, Ruggieri Law Offices, as a Paralegal in Delaware County, and enrolled in Delaware County’s Paralegal Certificate program.
While continuing Paralegal Certification, Hollis joined SeniorLAW Center’s Victim Services team as a Legal Advocate in May, 2017. Along with lead staff attorney Elizabeth A. Schneider, he is part of a newly expanded program serving elder victims of financial exploitation and abuse in Delaware and Chester Counties. The program is funded by a federal grant pursuant to the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA).
Hollis’ need to serve the all too often marginalized and ignored populations steered him to SeniorLAW Center, and he is ecstatic to serve the community that he also calls home. He champions a not-for-profit mindset, placing the mission and client above all else.
In addition to working for SeniorLAW Center, Hollis is continuing his studies at Delaware County Community College and is a member of the Paralegal Association of Delaware County.
