Thomas served as a Marine from 1971-1973 and did one tour in Vietnam. After settling back in the states, Thomas helped raise Calvin as his own when he and his mother were in a relationship. When Calvin’s mother died suddenly, Calvin was taken into foster care and was not receiving the care that he needed to succeed in life. Thomas came to SeniorLAW Center to gain custody of Calvin so that he could live his best life! Through SeniorLAW Center’s Kinship Care program, our attorney represented Thomas in court, and was able to help Thomas obtain full custody of Calvin. Calvin now thrives and flourishes in a stable, nurturing environment with this devoted father figure. Calvin is now an honor roll student, and will soon attend college with plans of being an engineer. With your support, we can provide support for intergenerational families!
