Philadelphia Corporation for Aging presents Women & Aging Webinar Series: Combating Financial Exploitation on Wednesday February 10, 2016 from 1pm – 2pm EST. Project S.A.F.E. Coordinator Dana Goldberg, Esq. and Joe Snyder from the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging will co-presenters on this webinar. Every year, billions of dollars are stolen or scammed from seniors in the United States. The loss suffered often amounts to a substantial loss for a senior and may result in the unfortunate situation of a senior having to go without food, medication, or jeopardize their housing. Recognizing warning signs, knowing the types of questions to ask of a senior and knowing where to send senior victims for assistance are the keys to combating this national epidemic. The webinar will provide information about the types of financial exploitations experienced by seniors, the warning signs to look for, safety factors to consider when working with possible victims of financial exploitation and resources available for these women.
