SeniorLAW Center

SeniorLAW Center is proud to partner with Philly Police to protect seniors!

The Philadelphia Police Department sponsored Senior Safety Week from August 17th through August 28th, 2015. Six events were held in different sections of the city to educate seniors about keeping safe in their communities. SeniorLAW Center’s Project S.A.F.E. (Stop Abuse and Financial Exploitation) Coordinator, Dana Goldberg, and Legal Advocate (Department of Justice, Violence Against Women Grant), Tara Saunders, participated in the week long events. Dana spoke to seniors on August 17th at South Philadelphia High School to educate them about ways to prevent and avoid abuse and financial exploitation and how to respond if any senior becomes a victim. Dana is pictured here with the event coordinator, Officer Roslyn Talley.
Tara Saunders met with seniors at several venues during the week to discuss SeniorLAW Center services and to discuss options for identifying and protecting seniors from victimization. Tara is pictured with Jennifer Spoeri, Supervisor Older Adult Protective Services, and Sergeant Sue Jasionowski, Philadelphia Police Department, at Senior Safety Week, New Courtland Senior Center on August 28th. SeniorLAW Center works to fight and prevent all forms of elder abuse and financial exploitation, including special programs for senior veterans and senior domestic violence survivors.
