SeniorLAW Center launched its Homeowners Assistance Program over 20 years ago to address the legal needs of low-income elderly homeowners, in recognition that housing is absolutely critical to seniors’ independence and quality of life. We address complex essential homeownership legal issues affecting the most vulnerable seniors and communities, requiring expertise, diligence and zealous, experienced attorneys. Addressing the dramatic increase in reverse mortgage foreclosure, real estate tax foreclosure, tangled title, contractor fraud and related problems, enabling seniors to live in safe, habitable homes, independent and secure, is our focus. All of SeniorLAW Center’s clients are 60 and older and low-income, most living at 150% or less of poverty.
