Executive Director Karen Buck and Legal Director Wendy Bookler were proud to represent SeniorLAW Center at the 2017 National Aging and Law Conference in Silver Spring, MD, a gathering of hundreds of attorneys, judges, and advocates in law and aging from around the country to address key issues in law and aging and access to justice for older Americans. We presented 3 workshops, including at the “Rapid Fire” plenary during which Karen shared her global journeys for elder justice and her meetings with leaders in government, aging services and the law in Iceland, Japan, Australia and New Zealand through an Independence Foundation Senior Public Interest Attorney Fellowship. We were also honored to meet with Lance Robertson, new leader of the U.S. Administration on Community Living and Administration on Aging, with a small group of senior legal services and senior legal hotlines providers and ACL colleagues focused on elder justice.  Great opportunities to share about our work protecting the rights of elders in Pennsylvania and beyond!
