SeniorLAW Center participated in a first-of-its-kind pro bono day on May 2, 2019. Lawyers from financial institutions all over the country partnered with law firms and non-profit organizations such as SLC to provide free legal services to low income seniors, veterans, immigrants, the formerly incarcerated and others. Organized by long-time partners PNC and, for our clinic, Blank Rome LLP, we had the opportunity to train and work with new volunteers from PNC Bank, BNY Mellon, TD Bank Financial Group, and Citi bank, who all helped our senior clients enter into planning documents (financial and health care powers of attorney, living will and simple wills) which will make a huge difference as they age and may need health care and financial assistance from others.
